werewolf hunter AU - for DVA
...Scott's watched the assholes in this town treat the new girl like shit for the last few hours and honestly, it's pissing him off. All that home town small town bullshit about treating everyone well, where people pride themselves for being decent and kind when all it means is they take care of their own...
Hell, his own 'parents', the foster folks who'd taken him on despite his terrible record were only doing it for themselves, because they'd wanted to be able to say that they'd taken in a kid to make up for the fact that his new 'dad' had been in the closest thing to a sex scandal this stupid little town had had in years. It was penance and he hated being penance. So yeah, he wasn't exactly close with them and to be fair, that served them just as well.
So yeah, it doesn't take him long to get frustrated and make his way over to her.
"So, everyone here eats at the diner and the diner is over on the next block if you want me to walk you over. Sorry everyone here's an asshole."

“Gguh-juh.” She’s losing her patience and so when she hears someone tailing her she turns on a dime, rifle rising so he’s staring down the barrel. “…” But it’s not someone from town, and instead someone she hadn’t seen among the mob. “Sorry.” Lowering it she huffs a sigh. “Diner, huh, …” Hana appreciates the apology, but it’s not his fault. He’s not an asshole… or, rather, he doesn’t seem like an asshole. “If that’s where they all eat, then let’s go somewhere else. I can’t take another earful of their nonsense.”
“Hana, Hana Song.” she smiled and offered him a hand. “But I need to stop in the house and just drop a couple of things off.”

But even if he wasn't what he is, he'd smell it, so he keeps his muscles locked at first before sighing tiredly and breathing in to sniff just as she pulls the gun away and settles down. That... could have been better and it could have been worse but he's proud of himself for surviving it.
"Well, it's also really the only place to get food unless you wanna make it," he points out to her, "so how about I slip in and make a take out order and then we can go?"
He offers a hand.
"Scott. By the way."

“I don’t think you want me cooking for you…” Hana snorted, resigning herself to the fact that she was going to have to dine with these jerks. “oh.” Or maybe not. Gii han! “If takeout’s a thing, then let’s go with that …” Motioning to the house on the hill she tells him she’s staying there. “I’ll meet you there, alright… and don’t forget to get something good.” Now she’ll have some time to set up, make sure she’s got all her traps read… and, of course, she plans on asking him some questions about the problem.

Hopefully she likes the kind of food he likes. Which is burgers and fries and totally basic stuff that the diner does well, but who knows?

When he returns with the burgers and fries she tries not to salivate. She's staving and it smells delicious. "Thanks." She leads him inside and plops onto the couch. "So what's the deal here, huh? Your friends didn't give me much information to work with and that greeting they gave me makes me wonder if I should even give a shit. You know anything about the wolves around here?"
