To be fair, she had been referring to herself in her previous statement--not him. As it stood, Louise already felt she had baggage enough for the both of them--even despite Sandy's special powers.
"I--of course," she replied. "Of course I am...just was making sure all was agreeable on your end." [AWKWARD.]
He almost lets out another awkward not-quite-smooth line before reaching out to take her hand between his two. He just holds it for a moment before rubbing the back of it and looking up at her.
"Better than agreeable.
"Whatever anyone's told you? You're a lot better than 'agreeable'. Or at least I think so. Which I think is how these things usually go, but to be fair, not my area of expertise."
Annnd that's where she's got him because what even do you do?
Well, he supposes, this is where he starts admitting to certain things. Certain... logistical things.
"I'm headed back to the states sometime tomorrow, but the nice thing about what I can do is that I can be on this side of the pond in about a half an hour. So... I'm gonna guess we date? Text when we're both working or phonecalls or something? We do coffee dates sometimes?" He pauses. "Stop me when it sounds appropriate."
Louise cleared her throat, thinking of the planning of it all.
"A...half-hour," she repeated, somewhat disbelievingly. "And...erm, 'date' we should," she continued. "And all of this is MORE than appropriate."
The utter care and deliberation with which he'd handled this has been completely second to none. Well, at least, as far as the redhead was concerned, this was entirely uncharted waters.
"Well, I could go faster but weirdly enough, it gives me a stomach ache? I don't even know."
And he'll do that, sure, for work. But not when he wants to be agreeable for a date on the other side. But when she agrees, he can't help but give her a beaming grin, one that makes some of the shadows on his face disappear.
"And maybe... I could fly you over sometime. Let you see my city."
Or ask Alan to bring her but he'd wait a while before bringing up teleportation via broadcasting executive.
If there had been shadows, the redhead didn't notice them. Instead, she canted her head to one side, contemplating his offer.
"FLY me over?" she echoed. "To see your city."
She didn't hesitate much longer before she smiled broadly. "I'd love to. God knows I've grown a bit musty sticking about the English countryside so long." It was true--she needed a break, and a change of scenery, no matter how bizarre the circumstances.
She pondered for a few moments before replying. "Well...I've--got vacation days coming up in a few weeks' time," she put forth, "We could...do it then? Only if you like," she added hastily.
"Of course," and he's grinning now. The idea of her getting to meet everyone, see the museum, really get a taste of his life... "Definitely. I'd definitely like that. I'll get the tickets as soon as you've got dates."

"And not exactly my area of expertise, either," she added.
A beat.
"So, where do we go from here?"

"Whenever you like," he offers with a grin. "Just let me know when you've got the time from work.'
