what if she's wrong?

it's that thought that has her hesitating once she's dug down to the coffin, sweating and trembling from something other than exertion. no way out but through, isn't that how it goes? so she forces the coffin open. ]

[ As she might have expected, it's open. And there's a massive cracked hole in the bottom of the coffin, leading to disturbed earth that at one point might have been crawled through but has since collapsed back into the ground. ]
