Hernan doesn't spend much time in the water. He takes about an hour, since he figured Scott could use some time to even out, but once that hour is up, he makes his way inside and changes with a decent amount of speed. He also packs a small bag with a couple of changes of clothes; something nicer than what he currently had.
Done, he makes his way over to Scott and leans down to press a kiss to his lips.
"I am done. Ready to go?"

"Not gonna argue going out and getting laid probably didn't do you good, but bringing 'em home? " His tone was pretty clearly a 'fuck no'.
no subject
Far too tempting.
"You all have terrible choice in coffee," because that was an actually important thing to discuss. "Too much cream and the flavor's half gone."
no subject
Scott wasn't good at ignoring Logan. Which meant that had Hernan not interrupted there would have been an outright fight instead of Logan grabbing his own coffee, slamming some things around and getting out.
And Scott just sort of... sagging after he left.

"If your happiness is so offensive to him, perhaps it is because he is lacking his own."
no subject
His head hurt. He leaned against Hernan briefly, then sort of mechanically got busy putting creamcheese on his bagel. "You want something to eat?"

He could not believe that this Jean, whoever she was, if she was someone Scott had loved, could be so cruel as to want eternal loneliness for him. If she did, she would not deserve such devotion.
He held out a hand.
"I was in the sun most of the night. But thank you. And your coffee is still terrible."

"In the sunlight," he clarifies. "Though closer to the sun."

"Is there a reason Kirk was so freaked out about where you were and what you were doing?"
no subject
"We spoke about his friends. I said some things... I thought he wanted to hear. He did not. And then I left."
no subject
It felt like there was a step missing.
no subject
Because he can't imagine that Kirk didn't know. How someone who'd been held in his arms, whose hair was stroked away from a dirty face, blood fed to him as gently as he had, could not know how he felt.
no subject
Look, he's shit at people but he's good at strategy. Sometimes there is overlap and this is one of those times.
no subject
He tilted his head and raised an eyebrow.
"When I am not calm, it is very very obvious."
no subject
no subject
"Of course, mi vida."
no subject
"Thanks for coming back with me."
no subject
"Happily," and yes, he's a little smug. Pleased and smug.

He was breathing easier.
He didn't want to see Kirk as a threat and mostly didn't, but just a little... yeah. Way less than Kirk saw Scott as one, anyway.
Kirk's experiences with people loving other people was way, way worse.

"I can see through walls, but that does not mean I know what something is or what it does. You can view a painting and not know every stroke or what it illustrates."
no subject
"I don't think I'd compare this school to a work of art." At all, but maybe. He was going to start in the basement, with the danger room and medical labs. He could work his way up from there.
no subject
That's pretty good in his book.
no subject
He leans against Hernan, and the room without any program running is kind of boring, but. "It also won't let anyone break in to save you once the program's in progress."
